A useful starting point
Relationships are shaped by communication, expectations, history, stress and the patterns each person brings with them. Conflict itself is not unusual. What matters is how conflict is handled, repaired and learned from.
Things worth trying or noticing
- Talk about the issue rather than attacking the person.
- Notice repeated patterns, especially arguments that keep changing topic but feel emotionally identical.
- Be clear about needs and boundaries instead of relying on mind-reading.
- Make room for repair after conflict, not only for winning the argument.
- Seek specialist support where conflict is entrenched, unsafe or affecting mental health.
